A Show Network Engineer designs and manages the event network infrastructure. They build the backbone that carries audio-over-IP (Dante), video-over-IP (NDI), streaming feeds, and show control data. As AV systems become increasingly networked, this role is critical for any show running IP-based workflows.
Responsibilities
- •Design and deploy the show network topology
- •Configure VLANs, QoS, and multicast for AV-over-IP protocols
- •Manage Dante, NDI, and other networked audio/video systems
- •Set up streaming infrastructure and encoding
- •Troubleshoot network issues during the live show
